~*For our Canadian Soldiers!*~

The time had come to say good bye,
to another courageous soldier of our land.
One of our Canadian sons has now come home
from a far distant country, of rocks and sand.

He did his duty well, so strong  and brave...
 in many  fierce battles or on patrol,
and he never let his comrades down
that was not his way and never his role.
***
His buddies could count on him at all times,
through thick and thin and the rest...,
after his job was done, he just smiled,
because he was one of our very best!
***
In the hearts of all his close friends
he stays alive and will never die.
As the battle goes on, so far from home,
his close Family will be saying good bye.
***
As proud Canadians, we should all say a prayer
for all of our sons and daughters far away,
as they serve their country and some pay with their lives
so we can all live in peace and freedom today.
***
May God bless the Family of this fallen soldier,
as they mourn now the loss of one of their very own,
we all should respect their personal sacrifices,
as their loved one has finally come home.
***
